Senior Node.js Engineer

N-iX is looking for a strong Node.js Software Engineer who is eager to become a part of a big team and develop complex solutions working with UI, AI and server-side data processing and communications.

We have lots of opportunity to grow in different directions alongside front-end and back-end development using JS, Typescript, ExpressJS, React.js, Next.js and AWS services.  We run a self-organizing agile team with a strong product lead ownership model using Agile framework where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Designing & developing GraphQL and RESTful APIs for a modern web application


• Designing, building, and maintaining performant, efficient, reusable, and reliable code


• Requirements review and development.


• PCI DSS standard (four-eyes principle), QA, code review


• Writing unit and integration tests


• Problem-solving and root cause analysis


• Communicating with technical experts, product owners and stakeholders


• Sharing and developing your own new ideas, techniques and methodologies


• Working with the different consumers to improve API’s, data usage and integrations.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of software development experience


• Deep understanding of Node.js & Typescript


• Know-how of building APIs from scratch


• Strong expertise working with databases, particularly PostgreSQL but also understanding of other types of database and their purpose.


• Experience working with REST & GraphQL APIs


• Understanding of stateless streaming and event-driven architecture


• Knowledge of general tools in team works: JIRA, Git, Jenkins, IDEs


• Expertise with Kubernetes and other serverless AWS offerings


• Expert experience with unit testing frameworks


• Confident level of English for daily communication


• Experience in e-commerce or marketing domains is a plus
