Senior Performance Test Engineer

N-IX is looking for a talented Senior AQA to join our client's CloudOps Team for implementing a permanent and automated performance testing framework to continuously measure and monitor platform-wide and service-level performance.

Our client is an open source platform built to productionize data science from day 1 by a team with a strong scientific background. Today it has a strong user community of 300,000+  across all industries and in over 60 countries. Its philosophy is to maintain and develop an open source platform that contains all the functionality any individual might require and to continue adding functionality through both our own work and that of the community.

Primary responsibility on the project would be: 

• Design and document the overall testing strategy for our SaaS platform, covering functional, integration, and performance testing.


• Set up and maintain a performance testing framework using K6 (JavaScript) for API and load testing.


• Automate the execution of these tests within our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).


• Establish a comprehensive performance dashboard (Grafana, Prometheus) to visualize key metrics.


• Determine the current operational baseline, defining the maximum concurrent users/requests the system can sustain before performance degradation.

Skills:

• Proven experience in automation development testing multi-layered products.


• Previous experience in testing SaaS products (cloud based) and microservices architecture.


• Automation experience in JavaScript using stress testing.


• Ability to reproduce issues and work closely with development to resolve.


• Debugging skills and ability to investigate and triage difficult problems.


• Experience in SW validation methodologies and concepts, testing and integration.


• Strong self-management capabilities: proactive, initiative, self-learner, team player.


• Experience with building and maintaining Jenkins jobs
