They are currently seeking an experienced Senior React Developer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities in a professional environment that values quality and collaboration.

Position Overview

As a Senior React Developer, you will play a crucial role in both technical delivery and team leadership. You will work with modern front-end technologies, particularly React.js and Redux Toolkit, while managing containerised applications and maintaining high code quality standards. Your experience will directly contribute to the team's success through mentorship, code reviews and technical guidance. This position requires someone who can balance hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the team delivers robust, well-tested solutions using Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the development team through technical challenges


• Build and maintain applications using React.js, including components, hooks and lifecycle methods


• Manage state using Redux Toolkit and similar libraries


• Oversee containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift ECS


• Design and optimise relational databases for application performance


• Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain quality using SonarQube


• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools


• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and task estimation


• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation


• Ensure code coverage standards are met across all projects

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience


• Strong expertise in React.js fundamentals, including components, hooks and lifecycle methods


• Proven experience leading and mentoring development teams


• Hands-on experience with state management libraries such as Redux Toolkit


• Proficiency with front-end build tools and pipelines, particularly Vite


• Practical experience managing containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift ECS


• Strong knowledge of relational database design and optimisation


• Proficiency with version control systems including Git, Bitbucket and GitHub


• Experience with Agile and Scrum processes, including sprint planning and estimation


• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (ROD, TeamCity, Jenkins, LightSpeed, Harness)


• Strong understanding of code coverage, code reviews and quality tools like SonarQube


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities


• Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
