Senior Software Engineer, Discover

Build, enhance and maintain Discover/Content Manager/Compliance features Write/review high-quality, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code Triage, refine and resolve bugs and customer issues Follow the quality strategy defined by the team. Team up with other talented engineers to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values Partner with product to scope new features, provide project estimates and milestones to inform quarterly commitments Clearly communicate complex problems and technical concepts to both engineers and non-engineers and can break down complex requirements into steps Participate in the production on-call duties rotation with the team members Experience with testing principles and frameworks (Jest/Cucumber/WebdriverIO etc.) Experience with GCP services. Experience with back-end tech stack (Java, Scala, Node.js) and helping define REST APIs Experience with containerization (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines Experience building and operating cloud microservices, preferably in a container environment Background with distributed systems
