Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented Solution Designer/Business Analyst to join our team and lead the development of the critical enterprise-level application using Java, Apache Kafka, and Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK). The application calculates key metrics essential for the insurance business, while processing large volumes of data. This role requires a strong understanding of Java and Angular technologies, with additional knowledge of Oracle and Kafka being highly beneficial. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the tool effectively meets business needs and delivers accurate premium calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the premium and unearned premium calculation tool.


• Solution Design: Design and architect solutions using Java and Angular, ensuring that the tool is robust, scalable, and user-friendly. Knowledge of Oracle and Kafka will be advantageous in optimizing data handling and integration.


• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.


• Technical Specification: Collaborate with developers to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, facilitating seamless implementation.


• Data Integration: Utilize knowledge of Oracle and Kafka to enhance data integration and processing capabilities within the tool.


• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, design specifications, user manuals, and process flows.


• Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to users, ensuring they are equipped to effectively utilize the tool and resolve any issues that arise.

Competencies:

• Solution Design: Expertise in creating scalable, user-focused solutions.


• Java & SQL: Strong Java development and advanced SQL skills, including Oracle.


• Data Modeling: Experience in designing efficient data models.


• Business Analysis: Ability to translate business requirements into technical specs.


• Stakeholder Collaboration: Effective communication with technical and business teams.


• Data Integration: Knowledge of data integration using tools like Kafka.


• Documentation: Proficient in creating clear technical documentation.
