We're looking for a Sr. Android Developer to join inkBOOK Europe! 📱

inkBOOK Europe has been active in the digital content space since 2009. Their E Ink-based e-readers are available in over 20 countries — but what really sets them apart is their focus on building a full Android OS experience tailored to digital reading.

Their team develops custom Android software for inkBOOK devices and reading systems for both Android and iOS platforms. Right now, they're growing — and looking for someone to help bring their next generation of products and apps to life.

What you’ll be part of:

• A team of experienced professionals passionate about digital media


• Projects that combine embedded systems, Android app-layer development, and service integration for managing digital publications


• A company where your input directly shapes global products

What you'll do:

• Select technologies and tools to support current business and product goals


• Participate in daily Scrum meetings and project progress reviews


• Develop software for inkBOOK mobile devices using GIT-flow


• Create and maintain unit tests

What you bring:

• 8+ years of experience building Android applications


• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and GIT


• Ability to write clean, testable code using design patterns


• English at B2 level or above

Nice to have:

• Experience with Firebase and Google Cloud Platform


• Interest in Android Framework development


• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
