Responsibilities
Mission:
Société Générale Warsaw Branch is currently looking for Structured Finance Back Office Manager.
As a manager, you will lead a team (10-15 employees) who handles Loan Servicing. You will be in charge of monitoring the key business-related activities and performing operational and HR supervision within your team.
You will ensure all the activities handled by the team are delivered with high quality with effective controls.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Activity monitoring:
Ensure that operational targets defined by the management are met on the risk indicators (cash & funding breaks, manual accounting entries, anomalies raised in the system) Ensure business continuity through an accurate monitoring of the team’s workload Set-up a continuous improvement of production quality Operational supervision:
Oversee the application of the common rules, procedures and compliance with regulatory obligations. Ensure incidents are properly reported (format, expected timing) and monitor the implementation of the action plans Ensure the update of the controls based on the activity evolution, accounting standards, liquidity management, processes, information system and regulatory environment HR supervision
Anticipate and manage the needs and resources (Staffing & Skills) through actions on recruitment, training Develop employees in their skills assessment, career path. Update skills matrix every 6 months Cooperation & continuous improvement
Organize and lead team meetings (morning and weekly meetings) to share information, identify and solve any issues Lead continuous improvement and Knowledge Management (process, procedures, tools and training supports) Ensure the quality of relationships with Business Lines, Middle Office and IT teams
Profile required
Studies & experience:
Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance Strong understanding of syndicated/bi-lateral financing and loan life cycle (deal origination, transaction management, secondary Language skills:
Fluency in English French or other European language skills are a plus Technical, operational & Soft skills:
Team management and leadership skills Ability to work autonomously, delivering cases to completion with strong focus on customer and proactive approach Good communication and presentation skills Understanding of processes, standards, and regulations Ability to work under pressure and to complete tasks according to fixed deadlines
