Technical Specialist

Job Summary

The position is permanent and based in Olsztyn, Poland. You will be part of the Business Stream Cheese Engineering team, mainly providing technical expertise and support. Approximately 25% travel is expected to support customers and collaborate with other teams. The successful candidate for this position will be a respected expert in cross-functional engineering processes and tools, driving engineering-related transformation projects in compliance with industrial standards, legal requirements, and Tetra Pak best practices.

You will work in close collaboration with functional engineering teams located in various regions, other departments within Business Stream Cheese, Central organizations. You will also work closely with other organisations within PSE (e.g., Production, Supply chain, Technical Documentation, etc) to improve collaboration and efficiency. Understanding customer needs (both internal and external) and translating them into solution design comes naturally to you. Your commitment and passion for engineering, combined with a structured way of working and a drive for results, are important to us.

What you will do

• Be the Engineering Technical Specialist providing additional cross functional support in complex projects


• Act as a Technical Project Leader for engineering tool implementations within Business Stream Cheese


• Support Engineering managers to drive the development and deployment of engineering design standards, guidelines, and best practices in alignment with Tetra Pak standards and central organizations
  Lead cross-functional process improvement efforts


• Drive the Execute Engineering process within Business Stream Cheese


• Support engineers in the design and delivery of engineering scope in customer projects in line with objectives, budget, and timeline


• Drive key engineering initiatives within Business Stream Cheese


• Act as a reference point for engineering processes across all phases of the solution lifecycle: Pre-Project/Sales, Project Implementation, and Customer Service


• Support design reviews, technical clarifications, and quality initiatives across engineering


• Act as an ambassador for Engineering, Business Stream Cheese and Tetra Pak in various discussions, collaborations

We believe you have

•    A university degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience
•    Several years of experience in design/engineering within one or more disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation), as well as project implementation
•    Experience in formal or informal leadership roles in the following areas: 
            - Engineering leadership
            - Driving transformation projects
            - Leading cross-functional and/or geographically distributed teams
•    A broad understanding of food engineering design principles, installation, commissioning within food & beverage industrial applications
•    A coaching and strategic mindset, with a strong drive to develop, deploy reusable solutions
•    Experience in creating and successfully deploying technical standards and guidelines in close collaboration with stakeholders
•    Strong informal authority and natural seniority
•    Excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Other relevant European languages (e.g., Polish, Dutch) are considered an advantage
