We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Turbine Control System Lead Engineer, to join our Automation Systems Business Area in Gliwice/Wrocław, Poland. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical implementation and coordination of turbine control system (TCS) project deliveries, ensuring timeliness, technical integrity, and meeting our customers’ expectations. You will also be responsible for supporting service teams during service maintenance after the project phase completion. In this position, you will work with our customers from the Energy, Process, and Marine businesses.
Key responsibilities:
Designing and implementation of TCS – Turbine Control System (hardware and system design, application engineering) for turbines on the Valmet DNA DCS platform
Lead the project team
Participation in all aspects of the project: in-house, tests, and commissioning
Coordination and execution of project activities to meet agreed schedules and deadlines
Participation in customers’ site audits in case of retrofit projects
Produce site activities reports and as-built documentation.
Who is the candidate we are looking for?
Must-have:
Knowledge of gas turbines, steam, or hydro turbines process and control
Experience in technical project implementation
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in automation or similar
Experience with automation control systems (DCS / SCADA / PLC)
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Fluent spoken and written Polish and English, other languages are an asset
Driving license (B category)
Willingness and availability to travel about up to 30% of your working time
Personal Requirements:
Ability and willingness to take over project responsibilities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others as well as independently
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Excellent commitment
