Job Description - VAT Compliance Manager - Centre of Excellence (EMEA)
1. Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, and other indirect tax reports across EMEA. Monitor compliance deadlines and manage associated risks. Stay updated on local and EU VAT regulations. Develop SOPs, process documentation, and training materials. Support internal and external audits. Ensure proper documentation and controls are in place. Support the organizational setup of the VAT CoE. Hire, lead, and develop a team of VAT (Senior) Analysts. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of VAT compliance experience, ideally in a multinational or shared services environment. Previous team leadership or people management experience. Solid knowledge of EMEA VAT regulations. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle); SAP DRC experience is a strong plus. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English; knowledge of Polish or another European language is a plus.
