What You Will Do

 

The successful candidate will take a leading role in the NetReveal Product Engineering group, which is at the centre of the business’ financial crime and compliance activity. The team architect, design and build new innovative products using the latest technologies.

 

The key responsibilities of a Technical Lead are:

• Product Delivery responsibility. You take responsibility for the end to end planning, delivery and releasing of significant product features and components.
• The Technical Lead is responsible for career management of their team and also takes part in the Leadership function in the Poznan office.
• The Technical Lead is a key contributor to the overall output of the Product Engineering function and has high visibility and high output within the overall engineering department and externally to other groups.

Design and Delivery as part of an agile team

• Work as part of an agile development team within our Financial Crime Prevention Product Engineering team. Take a leading role in that team.
• Understand all functional and non-functional requirements, translate these into a solid design and follow through with implementation, code review and testing activities
• Work towards frequent high-quality releases and meet deadlines
• Collaborate with other teams in design workshops
• Support our Professional Services delivery teams
• Provide deep technical expertise in one or more key products, solutions or technologies and be visible as a subject matter expert
• Introduce innovative technologies and improve existing code
• Identify and champion product improvements
• Contribute substantially to the improvement of standards and procedures within the engineering organisation

Career management

• Career management of your direct reports, including objective setting and performance appraisals
• Provide direction and mentoring to your direct reports
• Actively participate in the recruitment process  

Stakeholder Relationship Management

• Be recognized as a key point of escalation for sales and services teams
• Identify and build relationships with appropriate product stakeholders and owners
• Capture and disseminate technical information; actively participate in the roll-out of knowledge to other parts of the organization

What We're Looking For

 

Essential:

• Languages: Typescript, Golang, python, SQL
• GraphQL and REST API
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
• Experience with source code management tools such as Github, Git/BitBucket
• Shell scripting skills such as Bash
• Agile development methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
• Understanding of Software Development lifecycle and best practices (DDD, TDD, BDD)
• Understanding of cloud computing
• Containerization with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Azure AKS
• Databases - PostgresSQL, CockroachDB
• Proven track record of team leadership
• Strong communication skills (English), both written and oral, and comfortable communicating at different levels with technical, business and management personnel.

Desirable:

• Search engines: ElasticSearch, OpenSearch
• Tools – VSCode, IntelliJ, GitHub Actions, GitHub Codespaces
• Test Driven Development – Jest, Sourcelab
• Data processing technologies – Kafka, Dask,
• Working with AWS/Azure/Cloud related tools and technologies
• Financial Services sector experience, preferably in the Fraud & Risk Management space would be a distinct advantage
