European Transport Control Tower Trainee - Gdańsk

If so, we’re looking for an ambitious, proactive, and self-driven Student Assistant to join our Strategic Centre of Excellence – European Transport Control Centre team in Logistics.

Our team is a strategic function within logistics, focused on defining best practices, driving operational excellence in transportation area. We are a part of Global Shared Services in Gdansk. Here, you won’t find factory machines or farmers. Instead, you will join over 800 colleagues dedicated to supporting all of Arla with transportation,  IT, HR, financial and procurement operations. How you will make an impact

As our Trainee Assistant, you will add value by supporting the continuous improvement agenda in Control Tower. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting data gatherings and develop front-end solutions using Power BI and Power Query


• Conducting analysis, summarising conclusions and share best practise


• Co-developing material for workshops in the markets


• Performing ad hoc tasks as needed

What will make you successful

You approach tasks with a positive mindset and aren’t afraid to ask questions to deepen your understanding and challenge the status quo. A “can-do” attitude, proactive approach, and eagerness to learn new tools and processes are essential to succeed in this role.

Additionally, we expect that you:

• Enjoy working with data, and have some experience in working with data in Excel, Power BI and Power Query.  


• Are proficient in both verbal and written English and capable of structuring presentations.  


• Soon to start or enrolled in a master’s degree  within the fields of Supply Chain, Logistics, Business analytics, Data Engineering / Data Science, Computer Science or similar


• An advantage would be experience with lean and continuous improvements thorough either previous coursework or practical experience.


• Can work min 20-25 hours per week, ideally full time

Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
