Your mission

Your mission is to build upon your existing Node.js skills and dive deep into our modern, cloud-native tech stack, proving you have what it takes to become a full-time member of our team. This internship is designed as your launchpad, challenging you to rapidly transform your foundational knowledge into professional-grade engineering expertise and a long-term career at Cleeng.

Your Responsibilities

• Work closely with your mentor to design, develop, and deploy features using Node.js.
• Actively contribute to our cloud infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience managing AWS resources via Infrastructure as Code.
• Package, test, and deploy applications using Docker and our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and team planning sessions to build the collaborative skills needed for a full-time role.
• Embrace challenges and proactively seek knowledge to solve real-world problems affecting our global clients.

• Previous projects (personal, university etc)
• Solid foundational experience with Node.js and familiarity with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres.
• Understanding of REST API design.
• An intense curiosity and a proven commitment to learning. You must be genuinely excited by the prospect of mastering our tech stack with the goal of building a career with us.
• An open and transparent mindset. You value clear, proactive communication, are comfortable discussing both successes and failures, and see constructive feedback as a crucial part of the development process.
• A career-minded individual with a proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to learn independently.
• A genuine passion for technology. You can speak enthusiastically about projects you’ve built (whether for university, personal interest, or work) and have a deep-seated curiosity for learning and solving problems in the IT field.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of PlantUML, OpenAPI, Terraform, STS, or Serverless is a strong plus.
• Any prior exposure to AWS or another cloud platform is a significant plus, but a strong desire to learn is more important than existing experience.
