The IT Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure and data against disasters, disruptions, and security threats. This position involves developing, maintaining, and executing disaster recovery plans and enhancing the overall resilience of IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data protection strategies, cloud, and risk assessment methodologies. This includes planning and execution of ITDR exercises, assist with implementation of new technologies into the ITDR portfolio and support of real-time ITDR activations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Coordinate and execute regular disaster recovery testing exercises to validate the effectiveness of recovery strategies and plans, making adjustments as necessary based on test outcomes
• Develop and deliver training programs to IT staff and key stakeholders on disaster recovery procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
• Continuously monitor the IT landscape for emerging threats and technological advancements, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions to enhance disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Research and recommend possible automated approaches for ITDR tasks
• Facilitate ITDR vulnerability studies and impact assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and lead deep dives on key initiatives through program and project reviews
• Integrate regulatory compliance requirements into the ITDR. Assist in response to regulatory and audit matters
• Work closely with Business Continuity and Crisis Management team members to continually mature and improve the response to disruptive events

ABOUT YOU

5+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery planning,
administrative or managerial capacity with internal IT and/or
functional staff as well as vendor assigned resources in a large
global company
Knowledge, skill, and ability to maintain a company-wide disaster
recovery awareness program and serve as a subject matter expert.
Detailed knowledge of compliance practices, global corporate
policies, laws and regulations governing Business Continuity and/or
Disaster Recovery Programs
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks,
databases, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles

Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining disaster
recovery plans that ensure rapid recovery of IT services
Proficiency in IT infrastructure components, including hardware,
software, networks, data centers, and cloud services
Expertise with data backup, archiving, and restoration techniques
to ensure data integrity and availability
Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective recovery
strategies and troubleshoot issues during disaster recovery
operations
Ability to make informed decisions quickly in high-pressure
situations, balancing the urgency of recovery with potential risks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively
convey disaster recovery plans and procedures to a diverse
audience, including technical staff, management, and non-technical
stakeholders
Ability to develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are
prepared and understand their roles in disaster recovery efforts
Strong collaborative skills to work with various departments,
external partners, and vendors to ensure a cohesive disaster
recovery strategy
Understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance
requirements related to disaster recovery and data protection in
the organization's industry
