Java Programmer - Direct Recruitment

BYT is a spinoff of Boost IT that aims to use all the knowledge and experience created over 4 years, with a management team that has more than 15 years of experience.

Created in December 2021, after 4 years of delivering the specialized recruitment service with great success under Boost IT name.

During these 4 years we carried out more than 400 specialized recruitment processes for 20 different clients, both in Portugal and Internationally.

The success of the direct recruitment business area within Boost IT was so successful that we decided, in 2021, to create BYT.

BYT: Boost Your Team

• Function: Java Programmer
• Location: Lisbon
• Type of work: Hybrid Work Model (3x a week in the office in Lisbon)
• Type of contract: Direct Contractual link with the client
• Client: Leader company in providing information and knowledge about the business fabric, helping to inform its clients' business decisions.

Tasks

• Developing Java-based Backend Applications
• Utilizing Oracle databases for storing and retrieving application data. This includes designing database schemas, writing SQL queries, and optimizing database performance.
• Working with both Windows and Linux operating systems to deploy and manage backend applications.
• Leveraging the Spring Framework for building enterprise Java applications. This involves using various modules such as Core, AOP (Aspect-Oriented Programming), Data, Security, and Reactive to develop scalable and maintainable applications.
• Utilizing Scala, a programming language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), for building high-performance and functional components within the backend application.
• Working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic Search, and InfluxDB for handling unstructured or semi-structured data and achieving high scalability and performance.
• Using Git for version control, JUnit for unit testing, and possibly RabbitMQ for message queuing and communication between components.
• Utilizing Kafka, a distributed event streaming platform, for building real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures.
• Analyzing complex problems, proposing creative solutions, and adapting to new technologies and situations as needed

Requirements

• Academic background in Computer Engineering or similar;
• Proficiency in programming languages: Java
• Experience of working with Oracle databases and Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of:

1. Spring Framework: Core, AOP, Data, Security, Reactive

3. NoSQL: Mongo DB, Cassandra, Elastic Search, InfluxDB
4. Git, Junit or Rabbit MQ
5. Kafka
6. Docker
7. Kubernetes
