Accountant

Position: Accountant (M/F/D)

Local: Coimbra

Position Overview:

SRAM Portugal intends to strengthen its team by hiring an Accountant to reinforce the Finance Department.

The role consists of monitoring and collaborating throughout the accounting and financial process, assisting and performing general

accounting activities in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Recording supplier invoices;

• Recording accounting transactions;

• Performing bank reconciliations;

• Monitoring outstanding balances in General Ledger and Third-Party accounts;

• Reconciliation of intragroup checking accounts;

• Preparing supplier payment proposals;

• Preparing the information required to comply with monthly tax obligations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent;

• Certified Accountant registered with the OCC, or in the process of obtaining certification (attending the course or awaiting OCC approval);

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in similar roles (preferred);

• Knowledge of accounting and taxation;

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken;

• Good written and verbal communication skills;

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;

• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage priorities;

• Good interpersonal skills and team spirit;

• High sense of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail;

• Results-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a critical mindset;

• Initiative, proactivity, and flexibility;

• Commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on process optimization and the identification of opportunities for improvement.
