About the Role

As Accounts Payable Team Lead, you'll design processes, implement structure, and drive operational excellence — shaping how accounts payable is done from the ground up within our GBS organization.

Who You Are

• Responsible for executing the global accounts payable process in a defined area in an effective and cost-efficient way.

• Responsible for the end-to-end invoice processing and settlement process for a defined area. 

• Responsible for compliance with regulations, accounting principles, standards, and other agreed upon ways of working, within the accounts payable process.

• Monitor the work of others to ensure accuracy and general integrity of the accounting function and related reports.

• Provides input to process improvement and continuously improves own area of responsibility.

• Assist in communications to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets and understand KPI development.

• Assist in day-to-day leadership and operational management for the respective team providing immediate supervision with an emphasis to coach and mentor team members and providing performance evaluation and feedback.

• Participate in the daily operational tasks working together with the team.

• Lead and contribute to finding and implementing effective solutions in a matrix organization.

• Support external and internal financial audits and resolving audit findings.

• Follow controlling standards and other Essity policies such as MICR and legal regulations.

What You Will Do

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounts payable role and 2 years of relevant work experience with direct reporting responsibility for employees within a team.

• Agile mindset and good understanding of all business components and how they fit together.

• Proficient in SAP (R/3 and S/4), InvoiceTrack or comparable AccPay ERP, MS Office, and Ariba.

• Strong in leadership, communication, and collaboration, with a proven ability to establish new processes and flexibility to adapt to changing environments, new systems and/or methods.
