AI Business Value Advisor

Why Keyrus, Why Now!

Keyrus is an international group of 2,800 consultants and experts across 28 countries, built on a single conviction: AI does not transform businesses. Architected intelligence does.

For more than 30 years, we have been building the data foundations that make intelligent systems work — designing the Operating System of the intelligent enterprise, where intelligence is embedded into the core of business processes to create sustainable value: we operationalise intelligence.

AI does not replace humans. It repositions us to a place no system can follow: understanding, deciding, designing, and creating.

At Keyrus, you will not just develop skills — you will develop judgment. Your expertise sharpens with every system you architect, every client challenge you solve, and every deployment that compounds on the last.

Over time, you grow into one of the rarest professionals of the intelligence era: someone who bridges data, AI, and human decision-making at scale, across industries and geographies. This is not a role you fill. It is a discipline you master and a story you help write to become a Keyrus Architect of Intelligence.

Technology amplifies. Keyrus culture differentiates. Industrial discipline connects the two.

What You'll Architect

As an AI Business Value Advisor, you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.

This role is both business-focused and consultative — perfect for someone who can combine deep domain expertise, AI fluency, and leadership of client engagements. We’re looking for professionals who think like architects and act like builders.

You will shape the business architecture behind intelligent systems: the problems worth solving, the processes and decisions that should change, the use cases to prioritise and the outcomes that define success. You bring deep expertise in [industry / functional domain], with enough understanding of modern AI to recognise opportunities, challenge assumptions and work effectively with technical teams. Once a use case moves into technical execution, Forward Deployed Engineers and specialist engineering teams own how it is designed and deployed; you remain accountable for the business intent and agreed outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead business and operational discovery, owning client-facing phases such as discovery and value reviews, and working with senior stakeholders, frontline teams and subject-matter experts to find the real problems behind an initial request.

• Analyse and redesign processes and decision flows, identifying where human judgement, data, automation and intelligent capabilities should interact differently.

• Build and prioritise a portfolio of AI opportunities, assessing business relevance, expected value, feasibility, adoption, risk, data readiness and operating-model impact.

• Develop clear value cases and success measures, establishing baselines, expected benefits, assumptions, dependencies and KPIs, with finance specialists where detailed modelling is needed.

• Translate selected opportunities into actionable business definitions: problem statements, process requirements, decision logic, user needs, acceptance criteria and intended outcomes.

• Create adoption and operating-model roadmaps, covering the changes in roles, processes, decision rights, ways of working and human oversight that intelligent capabilities require.

• Guide multidisciplinary delivery teams on business context and priorities, working with Forward Deployed Engineers, architects, AI, Software and Data Engineers and AI Governance specialists without taking over their decision rights.

• Review business outcomes through delivery and adoption, using agreed KPIs and operational evidence to decide whether an initiative should continue, change direction, expand or stop.

• Who You Are

• You are a senior business consultant or industry specialist who knows the key question is not what AI can do, but where it should operate and why.

• You understand your sector or function deeply enough to challenge an initial request rather than simply document it.

• You move easily between executive priorities and frontline reality.

• You understand how processes actually work, where decisions break down and what people need to change.

• You discuss AI confidently with technical teams without pretending to be the architect or engineer.

• You bring structure to ambiguity, make assumptions visible and challenge an initiative when the value does not justify the complexity.

️ What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Typically 8+ years of deep expertise in [industry / functional domain], with practical understanding of its processes, decisions, performance drivers and constraints.

• Strong experience in business consulting, industry consulting, transformation, operational improvement, product or service strategy, or a comparable client-side role.

• Confidence engaging senior business stakeholders while working closely with operational teams and subject-matter experts.

• Availability for monthly travel to Lisbon or Madrid.

• Professional fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English, written and spoken.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead business discovery and problem framing, moving from an ambiguous request to a clear understanding of the underlying challenge.

• Experience designing or redesigning business processes, decision flows, operating models or customer and employee journeys.

• Strong ability to prioritise opportunities and define measurable outcomes, including KPIs, baselines, expected benefits and evidence of value.

• Practical understanding of GenAI, agents, RAG, automation, analytics and enterprise AI, sufficient to identify credible opportunities and work with technical specialists.

• Experience producing use-case portfolios, prioritisation frameworks, value cases, process redesigns, adoption roadmaps, KPI models or business requirements.

• Ability to structure a business value case, working with finance or business specialists on detailed financial modelling.

• Experience facilitating executive workshops, discovery sessions and prioritisation forums.

• Experience supporting organisational adoption, including changes to roles, processes, decision rights, governance or ways of working.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting pre-sales discovery or opportunity shaping, without direct commercial ownership.

• Experience with AI operating-model or Human in Command design.

• Experience with value-realisation or benefits-management frameworks.

• Experience in regulated or operationally complex environments.

• Experience with enterprise data, analytics or automation programmes before the current generation of AI.

• Experience creating reusable industry use-case libraries, KPI frameworks or consulting methodologies.

• Experience mentoring consultants, leading advisory workstreams, or working on international projects

  ⭐ What Makes You Successful

• You begin with the business reality, not the technology.

• You know your industry or function deeply enough to challenge assumptions.

• You turn ambiguity into clear priorities and tangible outputs.

• You distinguish between an interesting AI capability and an opportunity worth pursuing.

• You define value in measurable terms without reducing every outcome to a financial calculation.

• You understand where your business decision rights end and technical ownership begins.

• You build credibility with executives while staying connected to users and operational teams.

• You adapt recommendations when evidence changes rather than defending an initial hypothesis.
