Cloud Support Engineer (VDI & Citrix Focus) -NDA Project

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and maintain multiple customer environments, ensuring performance, stability, and compliance.


• Prioritize and manage your ticket queue in alignment with internal SLAs and escalation protocols.


• Proactively identify and escalate high-priority incidents to senior technical teams or management.


• Provide a customer-first experience through timely communication via phone, email, and ticketing systems.


• Collaborate across teams—including engineers, account managers, and project stakeholders—to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.


• Deliver resolutions that drive customer satisfaction, while identifying long-term improvements or mitigations.


• Continuously research and self-learn new tools, concepts, and technologies, and share insights with your team.


• Liaise with third-party vendors to facilitate issue resolution when necessary.


• Assist in maintaining and expanding the internal knowledge base by creating and updating documentation.


• Act as a technical mentor within Skill PODs and review technical documentation such as RFCs submitted by peers.


• Ensure client environments remain compliant by applying security patches, system updates, and maintaining component compatibility (OS, Apps, VMware Tools, etc.).


• Execute system upgrades and patching, including updates to LTSRs (Long-Term Service Releases) and Cumulative Updates (CUs).


• Apply advanced troubleshooting methodologies and document findings thoroughly for future reference.

Who You Are

You’re a detail-oriented, technically strong cloud engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments. You bring a balance of hands-on technical skill and a customer-focused mindset.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent: Master’s degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 6+ years of professional IT experience.


• Availability to support flexible schedules, including rotating 24/7 on-call responsibilities.


• Experience managing virtual desktop environments (Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop).


• Active CCA-V certification.

Core Technical Skills

Windows & Server Administration

• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, including installation, object management, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, replication, IIS, and FSMO roles.


• Performance monitoring and system optimization across CPU, memory, disk I/O, and antivirus management.


• GPO and OS optimization, log analysis, and patch management

Citrix Administration

• Hands-on with Citrix LTSR versions 1912 & 2203.


• Experience with PVS, StoreFront, Director, Session Hosts, Base Image management, NetScaler, UPM, and Citrix Policies.


• Citrix log analysis and performance tuning.

Remote Desktop Services (RDS)

• Configuration and support of RDS Gateways, certificate handling, and RDS Hosts.

Security & Certificates

• Certificate management across multiple platforms.


• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, including CVE remediation and system hardening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Nerdio, CCA-AppDS, CCP-V.


• Experience with legacy Windows OS environments (2008, 2012/R2).


• Advanced virtualization expertise: VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and vCloud.


• Familiarity with N-able RMM tools and solutions.


• Exposure to parallel tech stacks:

  • Microsoft Services: Outlook, Exchange, Azure AD.
  
  
  • Authentication: Duo, Azure MFA, OneLogin, Workspace ONE.
  
  
  • Backup: Veeam Backup & Recovery, including Veeam Self-Service Portal.
