We are looking for a Senior COBOL Developer to join a long-term project in the Portuguese banking sector. The role involves maintaining critical legacy systems, with hybrid work and regular communication in Portuguese and sporadic communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, maintain, and evolve banking applications developed in COBOL.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure system stability and support ongoing operations.

• Identify and resolve incidents and performance issues.

• Contribute to system upgrades and functional enhancements.

• Document changes and ensure alignment with internal procedures and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a COBOL Developer.

• Strong knowledge of COBOL (z/OS, CICS, JCL, DB2).

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.

• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Good communication skills in Portuguese and English.

• Availability for hybrid work in Portugal.
