Role Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer with expertise in Portuguese corporate law. The ideal candidate will advise clients on business structuring, contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and corporate transactions, ensuring legal and strategic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate governance, business structuring, and regulatory matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, and investment documents.

• Support M&A transactions, including due diligence and business reorganizations.

• Ensure compliance with Portuguese corporate, tax, and financial regulations.

• Represent clients in negotiations and liaise with regulatory authorities.

• Assist in dispute resolution and corporate litigation when required.

• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments impacting corporate law.

Requirements

• Law degree from a reputable Portuguese university.

• Registered with the Portuguese Bar Association (OA - Ordem dos Advogados).

• 3+ years of experience in corporate law (law firm or in-house legal role).

• Strong knowledge of Portuguese corporate, commercial, and contract law.

• Experience in M&A, investment structuring, and regulatory compliance is a plus.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios independently.

• Fluency in Portuguese and English (both written and spoken).
