Your mission will be…
We are seeking a talented Data Platform Release Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee the seamless deployment of our cutting-edge data platform. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the release process, ensuring that new features, bug fixes, and infrastructure updates are delivered to our customers with precision and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive release management strategy, aligning with business objectives and technical roadmaps
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth and timely releases
- Establish and optimize release processes, including change management, version control, and deployment automation
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, implement contingency plans, and manage dependencies to minimize disruptions
- Communicate release plans, progress, and post-deployment feedback to stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration
- Continuously improve release practices, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices
We are looking for someone with…
- 5+ years of experience in release management, preferably in a data-driven or software-as-a-service (SaaS) environment
- Proficient in project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong technical background with proven track record in:
- data engineering and data warehousing, esp. with Snowflake and e.g., dbt open source that allow you to champing CI/ CD processes end-to-end
- the setup and development of release management processes (CI/CD) and concepts
- Azure DevOps (esp. CI/CD, project setup optimization)
- Github and Gitlab, including Git Bash
- Reading YAML code for Azure DevOps pipeline and error handling
- Very good programming skills in SQL (esp. DDL and DML statements)
- General good understanding of Azure Cloud tech stack (Azure Portal, Logic Apps, Synapse, Blob Containers, Kafka, Clusters and Streaming),
- A proven Track on AWS is a big plus
- Experience in Terraform is a big plus
