Downstream Process Engineer

We are seeking a Downstream Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our downstream process development and optimization. This role requires a strong background in Biological or Chemical Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Plan and support the execution of pilot-scale trials to test different DSP technologies for proof-of-concept and process optimization

·       Collaborate in the development of analytical protocols to support pilot trials

·       Support the conceptual development and optimization of our processes

·       Perform mass and energy balances of our complete processes to support techno-economic and LCA analysis

·       Develop mechanistic models to describe the operation of different DSP units

REQUIREMENTS

·       You have an academic degree in Biological Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

·       You have 3+ years of experience in biotech- or chemical industry (proven working and academic experience is also accepted)

·       Experience with process simulation tools is a plus (e.g., Aspen Plus, gPROMS)

·       You love bringing structure and efficiency to a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.

·       You have a hands-on personality, team-play-spirit, and efficient self-time management.

·       You are passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of a fast-growing startup.

·       Fluency in English (spoken and written).
