Financial Controller - Group

Working closely with the Head of Group Finance the “Financial Controller – Group” will be responsible for producing the monthly consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and lead the Group annual audit process. This includes financial record keeping, filing compliance and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting for all group subsidiaries 

Key responsibilities 

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial reports for the entire group (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow) – 15 + entities in various countries 

• Co-ordinate with regional finance teams to collect financial data and ensure proper integration into the group reporting system on a timely basis. 

• Preparing the necessary schedules / journals required for month-end reporting  

• Monitoring the financial accounts of all the Group’s entities, included (and not limited to) ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported 

• Overseeing the accounting and reporting for the Group entities (Group Ltd, Midco and Bidco). 

• Set the standard for financial process and posting to ensure consistency of reporting around the group 

• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with FRS102 accounting standards. 

• Lead group audit process, coordinating group and local audits to ensure smooth completion of external audits in line with agreed timetable. 

• Preparation of year-end audit schedule. 

• Track year-end statutory and tax filings for each of the Group’s entities, to ensure timely compliance. 

• Provide ad-hoc support to FP&A team as required 

• Assist the CFO & Head of Finance with other workstreams as needed 

Experience 

• Multi country / currency consolidations 

• FRS102 / IFRS accounting standard 

• Production of financial information  

• Preparation of statutory style cash flow 

• Appreciation of regional differences in terms of standard and culture
