About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Control & Risk Management Team Leader to join our growing team in Lisbon. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and compliance risks while driving a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Compliance Control & Risk Management Specialists.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential compliance vulnerabilities across business operations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance control frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
• Review operational processes and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.
• Analyze compliance incidents, investigate root causes, and oversee corrective action plans.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management regarding compliance performance and risk exposure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of compliance initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Stay up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practices.
• Drive quality assurance initiatives and ensure team performance meets established KPIs and SLAs.

Requirements

• Fluent French (C1/C2) and strong English communication skills (B2/C1).
• Previous experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Audit, Financial Crime Prevention, or a related field.
• Prior leadership or team management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical business controls.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
