Job Description

Sandoz is a Global leader in Biosimilar and Generics medicines, committed to playing a leading role is driving access to medicine worldwide. Our biosimilars have been used in clinical practice for 15 years, are available in 100 countries, and have over 730 million patients-days of experience.
As Hospital & Bio Sales Head for Portugal, you'll lead the sales activities to deliver sales targets in the country.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for delivering agreed sales targets across the biosimilar and hospital generics portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, and manage the sales team, ensuring high performance in key accounts and hospital channels.
  • Oversee commercial operations to guarantee aligned execution, strong customer engagement, and portfolio competitiveness.
  • Define and implement robust commercial plans, forecasting, and performance KPIs for sustainable growth.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Medical, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to ensure fully aligned customer and market plans.
  • Lead the launch planning and execution for biosimilars and hospital generics, ensuring rapid uptake, competitive positioning, and seamless cross-functional coordination.
  • Lead interactions and negotiations with health authorities, payers, hospital administrations, and key institutional stakeholders.
  • Build and deliver compelling value propositions, economic models.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (medicine, biology, chemistry, business or a similar field preferred). MBA or advanced degree (e.g. MS, Pharm D) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry or equivalent experience in sales, pre-launch and commercial activities.
  • Experience working with partners is a plus, experience in leading in a matrix is required
  • Proven ability to prioritize resource and deliver key activities in a highly competitive environment, including pragmatic, agile, flexible mindset
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt to fast changing environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work cross-functionally to align interests of multiple parties
  • Able to understand changing dynamics of Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Market Knowledge and Network is desirable.
