Infrastructure & Technology Services Engineer

Overview:

This role involves managing and delivering technology and services. It encompasses a range of IT projects from strategic planning to technical support, with elements of both architecture and hands-on infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be an experienced 3rd-level Infrastructure engineer with a strong technical background, capable of designing and implementing solutions, resolving high-level incidents, and troubleshooting backend infrastructure. This requires knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, vitalisation, and security.

What are we looking for?

• Lead solution design and scoping for infrastructure, technology, and services


• Ensure service availability, incorporating it into both planning and daily operations


• Manage vulnerability and patch management, and make decisions on incoming IT work


• Review and vet all project-related infrastructure, software, and service needs


• Maintain current infrastructure knowledge while staying abreast of future trends


• Develop plans to streamline and increase the efficiency of infrastructure systems


• Standardise infrastructure and services, providing architectural direction


• Manage risks to the business that could lead to outages or revenue loss
