Vodafone IoT is a leader in the IoT Connectivity Gartner Magic quadrant and has been for 11 consecutive years.\n\nTo fulfil the Technology requirements of IoT, Vodafone has developed its own world leading IoT Connectivity Management Platform to target the key strategic growth opportunity specifically to meet the needs of IoT customers globally. We are looking for a IoT Engineering Standards \u0026 Effectiveness specialist to support enterprise-wide engineering governance, standards, and productivity across IoT Platform Engineering team.\n\nThis position will support a cross Engineering function including strategy, governance, performance management and the definition of ways of working (such as, common methodologies, processes, and tools for developing and operating the IoT Platform), aiming for improving efficiency and productivity within the IoT Platform Engineering teams.\n\nThe position focuses on ensuring that the IoT Platform Engineering organization \"does the right things\" through strategy and governance, as well as \"doing things right\" through organizational and operational model development and performance management.\n\nThis role will also support the KTLO portfolio management (biggest C2 General portfolio in IoT Technology), including governance over finance, workforce and external suppliers. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Define, track, and report on engineering KPIs aligned with strategic goals;\n * Support the development and maintenance of performance dashboards and reporting frameworks;\n * Contribute to the implementation of governance frameworks, methodologies, and tools across engineering teams;\n * Ensure compliance with defined ways of working and support continuous improvement initiatives;\n * Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and workforce plans;\n * Support cost optimisation initiatives and track financial performance against targets;\n * Coordinate and support crossfunctional programmes and transformation initiatives;\n * Facilitate collaboration across engineering, architecture, delivery, and business teams;\n * Identify and implement opportunities for process and productivity improvements;\n * Support demand management \u0026 prioritization across engineering teams;\n * Promote a culture of innovation and learning within the engineering teams. \n\n\n\n## Who you are\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field;\n * Experience in IoT, telecoms, or platform engineering environments;\n * Experience with tools such as Power BI, JIRA, Confluence, or similar;\n * Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering, operations, technical programme management, or performance/governance roles;\n * Proven experience working with KPIs, budget tracking, and governance frameworks;\n * Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail;\n * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;\n * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;\n * Technical background (e.g., in software engineering, systems, or platforms);\n * Fluency in English.\n\n\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nWorried that you don\u2019t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
