About Savannah Resources

Savannah Resources is a mineral resources development company with nearly 15 years of global experience, listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker "SAV". The company is the sole owner of the Barroso Lithium Project in northern Portugal, currently the largest identified spodumene lithium resource in Europe.

Through the Barroso Lithium Project, Savannah will help position Portugal as a strategic supplier of locally sourced lithium raw materials, ensuring a sustainable, long-term supply for the rapidly growing European battery value chain.

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with production expected to commence in 2028. Once operational, the Barroso Lithium Project will produce enough lithium to supply approximately half a million electric vehicle batteries each year. In March 2025, the project was recognised by the European Commission through its inclusion on the list of Strategic Projects.

Savannah is committed to developing and operating the Barroso Lithium Project responsibly, striving to minimise its environmental impact while maximising socio-economic benefits for local communities and all other stakeholders.

As part of its growth strategy, Savannah is expanding and is looking to recruit talented professionals to take on key roles at this exciting stage of the project's development.

About the Role:

Lead the development of Savannah’s IT function as the company moves through project construction towards mining operations. Establish a secure, coherent and scalable systems architecture, lead ERP implementation and define how corporate systems will integrate with future operational systems.

This is an opportunity to build the foundations of IT from an early stage and have a direct influence on technology choices and business readiness. The role combines technical judgement, delivery ownership and supplier coordination within a small internal team. It requires a practical leader who can make sound architecture and cybersecurity decisions, challenge external specialists and turn business priorities into working solutions.

Preference working location in Lisbon. Willingness to travel regularly to project site.

Responsibilities:

IT strategy and systems architecture

• Define and deliver a phased IT roadmap aligned with construction milestones, commissioning and operational readiness, within agreed budgets and internal capacity.

• Own the target architecture across business applications, infrastructure, cloud services, data and integrations. Set practical standards and maintain architecture diagrams, system inventories and technical documentation.

• Assess technology options, dependencies and total cost of ownership; favour maintainable solutions and controlled integration over unnecessary complexity and customisation.

• Work with Engineering and Operations to define the interfaces between corporate IT and operational technology (OT), including future production, maintenance and site systems. Agree responsibilities with automation specialists and equipment suppliers.

Cybersecurity and resilience

• Build cybersecurity into architecture, procurement and deployment decisions. Establish proportionate policies, a technology risk register and clear escalation to executive management.

• Define and oversee identity and access management, multifactor authentication, least privilege, privileged access, endpoint protection, secure configuration, patching and vulnerability management.

• Coordinate secure IT and OT connectivity, network segmentation and controlled third-party remote access with Engineering, Operations and specialist providers, taking account of industrial safety and availability.

• Implement and test backup, recovery and continuity arrangements against agreed recovery objectives. Oversee supplier security assessments, staff awareness and evidence of control effectiveness; coordinate applicable compliance requirements with Legal and management.

ERP implementation and integration

• Lead technical delivery of the ERP programme, from requirements and solution assessment through implementation partner selection, configuration, migration, integration, testing, cutover and stabilisation.

• Work with Finance, Procurement and project teams to support purchasing, accounting, budgeting, construction CAPEX control, commitments and management reporting. Business process owners remain accountable for process design and acceptance.

• Define master data ownership, integration standards, access controls and segregation of duties with the relevant business owners. Coordinate data cleansing, migration validation and reconciliation.

• Control scope, costs, delivery risks and changes. Ensure user acceptance, training, support arrangements and operational readiness before go-live.

Suppliers, services and governance

• Maintain internal ownership of architecture, priorities and risk while using external expertise for implementation and ongoing support. Secure documentation, knowledge transfer and workable supplier exit arrangements.

• Own the IT budget and investment proposals, track contractual commitments and performance, and report progress, costs and key risks to the CFO and C-Level team.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and professional experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.

• Typically 7–10 years of relevant IT experience, with increasing responsibility for architecture, security and delivery. Evidence of technical judgement and successful implementation matters more than tenure or previous title.

• Proven experience designing or materially improving systems architecture, with practical ownership of cybersecurity controls and risks. Experience leading an ERP implementation or a substantial ERP workstream, including integration, migration, testing and go-live.

• Experience coordinating external suppliers and cross-functional projects with a small internal team. Previous leadership of a large IT department is not required.

Core technical and delivery capabilities

• Sound understanding of application and integration architecture, APIs, data flows, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, corporate networks and identity services.

• Ability to translate cybersecurity risks into implementable controls and to assess the quality of specialist designs, security services and recovery arrangements.

• Ability to understand industrial IT and OT interfaces and work effectively with automation and engineering specialists; specialist OT expertise may be sourced externally.

Personal attributes and languages

• Pragmatic and accountable, comfortable with limited internal resources, evolving requirements and direct involvement in delivery.

• Clear communicator who can explain options and risks to senior management, challenge suppliers constructively and build trust across Finance, Engineering and Operations.

• Fluent English, written and spoken; professional working proficiency in Portuguese.
