We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator with expertise in power generation to oversee the efficient transportation, distribution, and delivery of equipment and materials for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain logistics within the energy sector, ensuring that all components are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and warehousing for power generation projects.


• Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical power generation equipment such as turbines, generators, transformers, and auxiliary systems.


• Manage spare parts logistics, ensuring proper stocking levels and timely procurement to support maintenance and operational continuity.


• Oversee the storage, tracking, and distribution of spare parts to prevent delays in maintenance and repairs.


• Develop strategies for optimizing spare parts inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with availability.


• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and freight carriers to optimize shipping schedules and cost efficiency.


• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid project delays.


• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for transporting heavy equipment, hazardous materials, and specialized machinery.


• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.


• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics transactions.


• Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and engineers to align logistics with project requirements and deadlines.


• Troubleshoot and resolve logistics-related issues, including delays, damages, and customs clearance challenges.


• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in all logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the power generation or energy sector.


• Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and import/export laws.


• Experience handling heavy equipment, hazardous materials, and oversized loads.


• Experience in managing spare parts procurement and inventory control.


• Proficiency in logistics management software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.


• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


• Knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and industry-specific regulations is a plus.


• Certification in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or Logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP, or IATA) is preferred.
