Logistics Manager

My client is a leading marble manufacturing company based in Portugal, Viseu. They export their products to more than 30 countries worldwide. I am looking for a Logistics Manager to join my clients team of marble enthusiasts.

• Manage inventory, as well as the warehouse, transport and other logistics processes;
  
• Manage suppliers and the corresponding logistics to ensure a seamless end -to -end customer experience;
  
• To establish partnerships and communicate with suppliers;
  
• Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction and financial commitments are met;
  
• Manage the internal logistics, transport and warehouse teams;
  
• Carry out metrics reports and data analysis tasks to identify problems and opportunities for process improvement;
  
• Develop new strategies to optimize processes and reduce costs;
  
• Create and manage logistics budgets;
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation;
  
• Ensure the entry and exit of goods and the valuation of stocks (entries, returns to suppliers, transfers between warehouses, transport to customers, overheads, markdowns);
  
• Ensure strict compliance with goods reception procedures, adapting processes to specific warehouse conditions;
  
• Prepare, monitor and improve action plans to correct operational deviations;
  
• Respond to and resolve complaints regarding the logistics process.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field;
  
• Previous experience in supply chain management, with an emphasis on purchasing, logistics and warehouse management;
  
• Experience in cost reduction, supplier negotiations and working capital optimization;
  
• Excellent communication of English (mandatory);
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills;
  
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills;
  
• Excellent analytical, problem -solving and decision -making skills.
