Descrição do Emprego - Medical Affairs Associate Neuroscience / HO&RWE

At Lilly, we unite caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We are a global healthcare leader headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our employees around the world work to discover and bring life-changing medicines to those who need them, improve the understanding and management of disease, and give back to our communities through philanthropy and volunteerism. We give our best effort to our work, and we put people first. We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.

Purpose
Reporting to the Executive Medical Director, this dual-focus role sits at the intersection of Medical Affairs and Health Outcomes & Real World Evidence (HO&RWE). The role will drive scientific engagement and education with the Neuroscience medical community while designing and executing credible real-world evidence studies that demonstrate the value of Lilly medicines throughout their lifecycle. The role contributes to both clinical strategy and evidence generation, supporting access, pricing and reimbursement goals and advancing scientific exchange with key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
•    BioSciences with postgraduate qualification in a relevant field — epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, health economics, patient-reported outcomes, neuroscience, or equivalent clinical/research discipline.
•    At least 2 years of combined experience in Medical Affairs (field medical, MSL, or Medical Affairs management) and/or health outcomes research, with exposure to both scientific engagement and evidence generation activities.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of the Portuguese healthcare system, key Neuroscience therapeutic areas (CNS, psychiatry, neurodegenerative diseases), and the landscape of observational research designs.
•    Track record of scientific communications: abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and/or medical education materials. Ability to write study protocols, reports, or manuscripts.
•    Experience contributing to pricing & reimbursement, market access, or HTA processes through health economics or outcomes research.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage credibly with healthcare professionals, payers, and patients.
•    Well-developed project management skills; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
•    Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Key Responsibilities
Medical Affairs – Neuroscience
•    Serve as a scientific partner to the Neuroscience medical community, building and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, investigators, and healthcare professionals.
•    Develop and execute a Medical Affairs plan for assigned Neuroscience products, aligned with global and EUCAN strategy and adapted to local needs.
•    Provide balanced, evidence-based scientific information on Lilly's Neuroscience portfolio to HCPs, payers, and internal stakeholders.
•    Support medical education initiatives: advisory boards, scientific symposia, and continuous medical education activities.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Market Access, Clinical Research) to ensure integrated brand planning and aligned customer engagement.
•    Contribute to the identification and development of investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and collaborative research aligned with the Neuroscience therapeutic area.
•    Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, Lilly policies, and industry codes of conduct in all medical activities.

Health Outcomes & Real World Evidence
•    Identify evidence gaps and stakeholder needs (HCPs, payers, patients) across the product lifecycle, contributing to HO&RWE strategy for the Neuroscience portfolio.
•    Design, implement, and manage HO&RWE studies: burden of illness studies, economic evaluations, and observational studies (retrospective, cross-sectional, and prospective), using diverse data sources including medical chart reviews, databases, and primary data collection.
•    Identify opportunities for novel data sources relevant to Neuroscience (e.g., patient registries, real-world databases).
•    Implement complementary evidence activities — literature reviews, systematic reviews — required to support outcomes research objectives.
•    Manage and deliver health outcomes projects on agreed timelines, ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
•    Present HO&RWE findings to internal and external audiences, including payers and scientific forums; contribute to internal training on health outcomes methodologies.
