English Teacher, with possible Head of English

Start: January 2027 · Contract: Permanent · Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Location: Lisbon area, Portugal · Teaching language: English

Classroom English post, or English with Head of English, depending on experience.

The role
Teach English Language and Literature across the secondary age range. Candidates with leadership experience may take on Head of English from the start (curriculum, assessment, staff, literacy, enrichment). Strong classroom teachers who are not yet at Head of English level are welcome; the school is open to appointing a teacher and promoting internally.

Essential
QTS or equivalent · degree in English or a related subject · experience teaching English at secondary level.

Desirable
International-school experience · IGCSE / IB English or similar · subject leadership or interest in growing into it.
