Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist - Fertility Specialist to join the Northern Health Public Fertility Team on a fixed term basis. 

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

Northern Health is a Tier 1 site in the Public Fertility Care network providing in-cycle care to women undergoing Invitro Fertilization in conjunction with the Royal Women's Hospital.

About the Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the care of women accessing our growing Public Fertility Care service. It will include fertility clinics as well as the provision of In-cycle management for patients undergoing ovulation induction, IUI and IVF through Public Fertility Care.

You will also be responsible for providing clinical support to our fertility nurses, early pregnancy ultrasound for fertility patients and advice for acute inpatient fertility patients as required.

This position is fixed term part time until November 2027 - covering maternity leave

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions or restrictions. 


• Specialist Registration as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG) 


• RANZCOG Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) or equivalent; or evidence of advanced training and experience in Fertility Care


• Demonstrated effective communication skills


• Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
