Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will join Code For All_ and be responsible for payroll operations of the group. You will report to the Group's Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will have analytical thinking, a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a passion for creating a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect payroll information and provide day-to-day coordination ensuring all monthly changes and impacts to payroll are reflected
  


• Enter data into payroll databases and software programs
  


• Administer and maintain employees’ documentation and data updated
  


• Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, bonus, end of contract compensations and others
  


• Prepare and process paychecks
  


• Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions and prepare payroll forecast and reporting
  


• Handle the administrative employee onboarding and offboarding process, such as Social Security, IEFP incentives, Compensation Fund, Occupational Medicine Services, Meal Allowance and Accidents at Work and Health insurances enrolment and exclusion
  


• Explain human resources policies, procedures and laws, and respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns to new and existing employees
  


• Explore possible benefits and perks to be given to the team
  


• Support People Teams’ projects as needed
  

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with accounting and payroll software (e.g. Primavera, BambooHR)
  


• Has excellent knowledge of payroll calculations, processing and reporting, as well as of labor law and tax procedures
  


• Is fluent in Portuguese and English languages (business professional)
  


• Is detail oriented
  


• Has strong people and communication skills
  


• Seeks guidance and assistance when needed, yet values autonomy and self-initiative
