Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Clinicians to join the Merri-bek Community Mental Health Team Therapy Stream as a Psychological Interventions Clinic Coordinator (OT, SW, RPN Grade 5 or Clinical Psychologist Grade 4)

Northern Health is seeking a dynamic Senior Clinician to lead the Therapy stream and inspire within our Merri-bek Community Mental Health Team — a supportive, multidisciplinary group dedicated to improving lives across Melbourne’s rapidly growing northern corridor through the delivery of evidence based psychological treatments in a dedicated therapy stream. 

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. 

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

The Merri-bek Community Mental Health Team is a vibrant, collaborative environment where compassion meets clinical excellence. 

As a Psychological Interventions Clinic Coordinator, you will:

• Provide leadership in psychotherapeutic practice and discipline expertise within the team.


• Design, deliver and coordinate psychotherapy programs for consumers


• Deliver clinical supervision to other staff, fostering professional growth and excellence.


• Contribute to and lead community-based mental health initiatives and programs across Northern Health’s broader Mental Health Division.

In this role you will be working 40 hours per fortnight. 

What You'll Bring to be successful: 

• Demonstrated experience in the delivering therapeutic interventions including group work to assist consumers in their recovery of mental illness, their families and carers in a community setting. 


• Proven leadership skills 


• A commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.


• This position is open to Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and Clinical Psychologists


• Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility for AASW if a social worker)
