The role:

We are looking for a QA Engineer (Mid-level) to join Blip’s high-performing engineering organization.

You’ll work closely with engineers and product stakeholders to help deliver high-quality software, focusing on testing strategies, identifying issues early, and driving test automation practices. Your work will help ensure that the platform continues to scale reliably and efficiently to serve millions of users around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
• Validate new features and ensure system stability through regression and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with developers to understand features and technical implementation for effective testing.
• Contribute to the automation strategy and test coverage improvements.
• Investigate and report defects with clarity and follow through on resolution.
• Monitor CI pipelines and ensure timely feedback on build quality.
• Suggest and help implement process improvements within the QA practice.

Your Qualifications – Must Have: 

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer in agile software development environments, applying structured testing methodologies.
• Practical experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and scripting in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of API testing, HTTP protocols, and tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and monitoring practices.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) and knowledge of agile QA practices.
• Understanding of containerization and cloud-native environments.
