QA Mainframe (French Speaker)

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist with expertise in mainframe systems to join our Payments team in Porto. This role will involve collaboration with our colleagues in Paris, making strong communication skills in both French and English (B2 level). The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of mainframe systems and will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our application. Experience in the banking sector is a valuable asset that will enhance your contribution to our team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies for mainframe-based payment systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and business requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to gather and clarify requirements, providing insights to improve overall system functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing, to identify and resolve defects in payment applications.
• Document and report testing outcomes and defects, ensuring all issues are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in daily stand-ups meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and testing priorities with the team in Porto and Paris.
• Utilize automation tools and methodologies where applicable to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the banking and payments sector.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies within the team.

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist, with a strong focus on mainframe systems and payment processing applications.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Familiarity with banking and financial services industry standards and regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools is a plus.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time, if required 
• Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
• Good level o French - minimum B2 (mandatory);
• Availability to come to the office 2 days per week (flexible);
