Senior Application Analyst (Cobol)

We are looking for a Senior Application Analyst to join a banking team focused on the development, maintenance, and support of core applications in a mainframe environment. The professional will be responsible for technical analysis, software development, testing, and application support, ensuring the quality and stability of the implemented solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Develop software according to DSI programming standards and guidelines.

Implement COBOL components in both batch and transactional environments.

Prepare and execute unit tests and system tests.

Produce technical and functional documentation according to internal methodologies.

Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance of managed applications.

Provide production support for the applications under the team’s responsibility.

Participate in standby/on-call support rotations when required.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in COBOL development.
• Strong knowledge of:
• COBOL
• DB2
• CICS
• JCL
• Experience with both batch and transactional development.
• Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in unit and system testing.
  

Nice to Have

• Functional knowledge in the Cards/Payments area.
• Previous experience in the banking sector.
• Familiarity with Novo Banco methodologies and tools:
• Agile / Jira
• Microfocus
• Cobol Studio
• ITSM
• Knowledge of the SIBS / Multibanco protocol:
• GRT Transactions
• H-to-H
• Multibanco Clearing
