Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect – Master Data Management (MDM) to contribute to the design and evolution of our MDM Hub across global business functions. In this role, you will help to define the architectural foundations that ensure business-critical master data is accurate, consistent, secure, and seamlessly integrated across enterprise systems, enabling trusted decision-making and operational excellence.
You will work closely with the MDM Technical Lead, MDM Functional team, other IT Teams and global stakeholders to design scalable and resilient MDM solutions in a complex, regulated environment, with a strong focus on delivering measurable business value in every activity.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end MDM Hub architecture, partnering with the MDM Technical Lead to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and executable
- Define and evolve MDM architectural standards, principles, and master data models, including hierarchies, relationships, and domains, ensuring consistency and long-term sustainability
- Own golden record design, including matching, merging, survivorship and lifecycle management
- Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and compliant MDM architectures that deliver measurable value
- Design and oversee integrations and data flows, including ETL and data integration using Informatica IICS/IDMC, ensuring robustness, scalability and traceability
- Ensure platform scalability, performance, availability and resilience, proactively addressing architectural risks and technical debt
- Guide platform evolution, including configuration, upgrades, security and capacity planning, balancing innovation with operational stability
- Ensure full compliance with GxP, data integrity and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, embedding compliance, security and privacy by design
- Provide architectural leadership during delivery, supporting teams through design reviews, troubleshooting and optimization
- Partner with business, QA, validation and IT teams to support audits, regulated releases, and enterprise alignment
- Maintain clear architectural documentation and transparency across stakeholders
- Support the management team in coordinating vendors, IT teams, and business stakeholders on platform roadmap, licensing, and strategic investments
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation, proactively identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate
- Stay hands-on with the platform, acting as an entrepreneurial leader who challenges the status quo and fosters accountability and a culture of data excellence
Required Education/Qualifications/Skills
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Strong technical background with 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management, preferably with Informatica MDM
- Hands-on experience with Informatica SaaS MDM Hub, including IICS (CDI/CAI) and Application Integration.
- Solid SQL skills and experience
- Proven experience delivering solutions in GxP-regulated environments (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs and data architecture
Architecture, Integration & Platforms
- Experience designing and governing scalable, secure and compliant architectures
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
- Working knowledge of integration technologies and standards (REST APIs, event-driven architectures, data formats such as JSON and XML)
- Exposure to DevOps and automation practices (CI/CD, source control, monitoring)

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Informatica certification is an advantage
Language & Personal Attributes
- Fluent English is required; Portuguese is a plus
- Ability to collaborate across teams and cultures, with a strong team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working under pressure in regulated, high-accountability environments
- Willingness to travel occasionally
