WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create high-quality, user-centric English copy for various UX touchpoints across the FARFETCH website and app, including buttons, error messages, onboarding flows, transactional messages, releases, Customer Service pages, and feature copy for both internal and external customers;
- Ensure that the language used across digital interfaces is intuitive, clear, and aligned with both user needs and brand values. It should reflect the FARFETCH tone of voice while enhancing usability and accessibility through clarity, simplicity, and cultural relevance, creating seamless, user-friendly experiences that boost satisfaction, reduce friction, and drive engagement;
- Work closely with the Senior Lead to analyse and validate the briefs provided by stakeholders (LangOps Coordination, UX Designers, Product Managers and others) and integrate copy seamlessly into product design and flows in a timely manner;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of UX writing guidelines, tone of voice documentation. Adapt the language to different contexts while staying true to the brand's voice and making the interaction feel personal and engaging for the customer;
- Participate in feedback sessions with different stakeholders to iterate on and improve UX content, understand common customer issues and ensure that the content created is tailored to address common problems;
- Collaborate with the rest of LangOps teams to support the accurate and high-quality translation of English UX copy into multiple languages;
- Maintain awareness of best practices in UX writing, content design, and accessibility to continuously improve the quality of FARFETCH's digital experiences. Improve quality control practices and ensure the team follows the guidelines established in glossaries and style guides to minimise inconsistencies, miscommunication or cultural missteps.
WHO YOU ARE
- Expert communicator: Native-level English fluency with exceptional writing skills. You know how to guide users with clarity and efficiency;
- Experience in UX writing: You bring at least 3–5 years of experience crafting digital product copy, ideally in e-commerce, fashion, or tech. Proficiency in Figma and Confluence would be a plus;
- Detail-Oriented & Strategic: You care about consistency, understand the value of copy, and see the bigger picture of the user journey;
- Collaborative by nature: You’re comfortable working with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Designers, Legal, among others, and welcome feedback;
- Process-oriented: You can juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and improve workflows when needed, providing proactive and continuous feedback;
- Brand-informed: Experience with Brand & Marketing copy, SEO, or B2B content and understanding how these areas connect with product and UX would be a plus;
- Passionate about Content Design: You believe words are a powerful design tool and have a strong desire to make user experiences simpler and smarter.
