Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our international team working on a global project. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems. The role is hybrid, 1-2 times a week at the office in Porto. Communication with the team and stakeholders is in Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java.
  




• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  




• Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices.
  




• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  




• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
  




• Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement efforts.
  

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
  




• Strong knowledge of Java (11 or newer) and Spring/Spring Boot.
  




• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  




• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  




• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).
  




• Comfortable working in Agile environments.
  




• Good communication skills and fluency in English.
