Senior Lawyer - Litigation & Arbitration

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Lawyer to join our Litigation & Arbitration practice at a leading law firm in Lisbon. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and prestigious environment with complex, high-profile disputes, both domestic and international.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage litigation and arbitration cases from inception to resolution.

• Represent clients before Portuguese courts and international arbitration tribunals.

• Advise clients on dispute resolution strategy, legal risks, and complex legal issues.

• Draft and review procedural documents, legal opinions, pleadings, and contracts.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and trainees.

Requirements:

• Law degree from a reputable university.

• Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in litigation and arbitration.

• Registered with the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados).

• Strong knowledge of civil procedural law, arbitration rules (ICC, UNCITRAL, etc.), and cross-border dispute resolution.

• Excellent analytical, drafting, and advocacy skills.

• Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Strong organizational and client management skills.
