Senior O2C Specialist Medical Devices

We are recruiting a German-speaking Senior O2C Specialist to join a finance operations team in Porto, supporting a leading company in the diabetes medical devices sector. This is a senior-level role for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in Order-to-Cash operations and a proven ability to lead, mentor and drive process excellence within complex, regulated environments.

About the Role

You will take ownership of end-to-end O2C processes, ensuring financial controls, compliance and operational efficiency across the team. Beyond individual contribution, you will play an active role in guiding junior team members and engaging with key stakeholders across the business.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Overseeing and managing the full Order-to-Cash cycle including accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and reconciliation
• Ensuring adherence to financial controls, compliance frameworks and internal procedures
• Managing multi-currency transactions within a global business environment
• Handling complex customer and stakeholder queries with strong negotiation skills
• Maintaining and optimising financial records within ERP systems
• Producing advanced reporting and analytical outputs to support business decisions
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members, acting as a lead reference within the team
• Collaborating cross-functionally to continuously improve O2C processes and outcomes

What We Are Looking For

• Native or proficient in German, with advanced English (C1 level) — both mandatory
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration — mandatory
• 5 to 7 years of experience in O2C, Accounts Receivable or Finance Operations — mandatory
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Deep knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls and compliance frameworks
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday
• Exposure to global business environments and multi-currency transactions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting

What Is on Offer

• Salary per 14 months
• Performance Bonus: 300€ per 11 months
• Meal Allowance: 7.63€ per day (net)
• Welcome Bonus: 280€ paid in 12 monthly instalments throughout the first year*

• Relocation support: shared accommodation for up to 12 months for candidates relocating from outside Portugal

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 18:00
• Days off: Saturday and Sunday
