SFCC Backend Developer (Fashion)

Metyis is growing! We are looking for a SFCC Backend Developer with 2+ years of relevant experience for a full-time position to join our Technology team based out of Digital Campus in Porto.

What you will do

We are seeking a Mid-Level SFCC Backend Developer to strengthen our backend commerce platform. You will work on integrating core business logic, developing secure transactions, and optimizing backend processes for performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SFCC controllers, models, and business logic

• Implement checkout workflows and payment integrations

• Create and maintain SOAP/REST web services

• Customize OCAPI hooks for API extensions

• Manage catalog, order, and customer logic

• Debug backend issues and optimize performance

• Collaborate with frontend developers on data contracts

What you will bring

Technical Skills Required:

• SFCC Script API (dw/* modules) proficiency

• Cartridge development, controllers, and path management

• Transactions and data persistence

• BasketMgr, OrderMgr, PaymentMgr, CustomerMgr, ProductMgr, CategoryMgr

• Hooks and middleware patterns

• OCAPI customization and integrations

• Debugging/logging in Business Manager

• Configure site preferences, payment/shipping/tax methods, jobs, and services

Experience Level:

• 2–4 years backend development experience

• 2+ years SFCC-specific experience

• Understanding of e-commerce workflows

Domain Knowledge:

• Order lifecycle, pricing, and inventory

• Payment processing and PCI compliance basics

• Customer data management and privacy standards
