Y5 Group is recruiting Sushihelper (M/F) or Sushiman (M/F) to join our expert team in sushi and sashimi at MIKADO in Famalicão.

The group is a restaurant chain, situated in Braga/Famalicão - Portugal, which , currently, integrates five restaurants specialized in Sushi & Sashimi:
> Mikado (Vila Nova de Famalicão)
> Mikado Braga (Braga)
> Mikadinho ( Vila Nova de Famalicão)
> Miyuki Sushi (Vizela)
> Hoko Sushi ( Braga)

Mikado is a reference in All You Can Eat Sushi in Braga/Famalicão, and is also known for their poke bowls service. Thus, the restaurant offers all you can eat, takeaway and a distinctive à la carte services.

What are we looking for in a candidate:

• A required minimum of 1 year experience as a Sushihelper (M/F)/ Sushiman(woman) or similar position (cook/ assistant cook) - non - mandatory;
• Eligibility to work in Portugal(Niss, Nif, Proof of Address and Expression of Interest/ Residency Title);
• Motivation to learn and progress within the company;
• Ability to work in multiculture teams and be a committed team player;
• Positive and professional personality (honest, loyal, hardworker, ability and ambition to learn and grow, impeccable hygiene standards).

What are the main tasks as a Sushihelper at Mikado:

• Preparation and execution of the basic Sushibar main service: all types of sushi rolls, temaki.
• Preparation before the main service - mise en place: rice prep; fish prep; fish cutting procedures; vegetable and fruit prep; shrimp skewering, boil, peel, and clean; prepping and seasoning pastas; prepping purple onion, almond, sesame seeds and sauces.
• Stock Management, sanitation and safety procedures: organize, store and replace food products to daily consumption, taking notice of the expiring date;
• Maintain shift cleanliness to standard;
• Appliance of the sanitation and safety regulation to standard.
