Transportation Billing Clerk

Summary

Help keep our operations running smoothly by ensuring our drivers are paid accurately, efficiently, and on time. As a Transportation Billing Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting our transportation team by auditing and processing driver pay, reviewing trip and payroll data, verifying supporting documentation, and resolving discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with drivers, operations, and internal teams to maintain payroll integrity, support compliance with company policies, and deliver a positive driver experience. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable results that directly support business success.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Audit driver payroll records, trip data, logs, and supporting documentation to ensure pay is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies.


• Review, approve, and process driver pay transactions, including hours worked, mileage, downtime, detention, and other applicable earnings.


• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by coordinating with drivers, supervisors, dispatchers and other internal departments as needed.


• Maintain accurate payroll records, meet established processing deadlines, and provide administrative support related to driver pay and payroll reporting.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma.


• 5 years’ applicable experience.


• Strong reading, writing, and administrative skills.


• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.


• Knowledge of standard software applications.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate’s Degree.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Normal climate-controlled office environment.


• Able to move freely throughout the facility.


• Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment.
