VP of Hardware Engineering

We are hiring for a fast-growing European tech scale-up at the forefront of smart infrastructure and automation for last-mile delivery. With an international footprint and a culture of innovation, the company is looking for an outstanding Director of Hardware Engineering to lead and scale its hardware division.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone passionate about building innovative hardware products and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the hardware engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions;

• Drive the entire hardware product development lifecycle, from concept to production and deployment;

• Define and execute the hardware strategy aligned with the company’s product roadmap and business objectives;

• Ensure seamless integration of hardware with software and operations by collaborating cross-functionally;

• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement;

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends to ensure the team remains at the cutting edge of design and manufacturing;

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, certifications, and best practices in hardware development;

• Contribute to strategic decision-making as a key member of the leadership team.

Requirements

• Solid academic background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;

• Proven experience leading and scaling hardware engineering teams in fast-paced environments;

• Track record of successfully delivering complex hardware products from prototyping to mass production;

• Strong understanding of hardware development methodologies, tools, and manufacturing processes;

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;

• Strategic mindset, hands-on approach, and a passion for innovation;

• Experience in logistics tech or smart infrastructure is a strong plus.
