We are looking for a  DATA ARCHITECT  to join our  DATA & ANALYTICS ARCHITECTURE team at BIT.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the Data Architect’s  mission  is to work very closely with the domain architects, product, and engineering teams ensuring the design and delivery of relevant data to our business teams, enabling retail transformation.

Play a leading role in the investigation of new technologies and architectural initiatives to meet medium to long term business needs;

Partner with stakeholders to analyze requirements and to formulate the appropriate architecture, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at mutually acceptable solutions;

Design scalable data processing and analytics solutions for big data storage, processing, and consumption;

Clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms while proposing solutions;

Foster and disseminate architecture blueprints/patterns, accelerators & interoperability standards;

Graduation in IT area or similar;

More than 5 years of experience on relevant Data roles such as Data Analysis, Data Engineer or Data Architecture;

Extensive hands-on experience in leading large-scale full-cycle enterprise data warehousing, from ingestion to reporting;

Experience designing and tuning ETL/ELT pipelines;

Understand the latest database and analytical technologies including data lake/lakehouse architectures;

Experience on big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Spark (SparkSQL, PySpark), Python and others;

Experience with Azure Technology Stack related to Data including Data Bricks and DataFactory;

Understanding of infrastructure, virtualization, networking and containerization;

Understanding of AI/ML and MLFlow / MLOps;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English;

Passion for technology and for learning;

Ability to work at tactical and strategic level simultaneously.

Experience with other cloud providers;

Experience with open-source software and open standards;

Certification on any major vendors;

Agile practices knowledge and experience (e.g., scrum).
