Financial Controller Trainee (F/M/X)

About the role 

Our Controlling team, composed of 7 people, is integrated into the Finance department and focuses on effective cost control (based on reliable data), by staying aligned with the company’s financial and strategic objectives, in collaboration with the different departments within our Global Business Services. As a Finance Controller Trainee, you will work on data management to support the team to build and maintain a variety of controlling files. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the team’s development and have a positive impact on the Solvay Group. You will be accountable for: 

• Participating in the improvement processes of our tools  


• Coordinate with different teams to collect and update data  


• Data management capacity - treat, assess & find inconsistencies in the collected data 


• Receive and act on feedback shared by the users  


• Organize and prioritize tasks with ownership 

We offer a 12-month internship contract based on hybrid (2 days per week onsite) working mode.  

About you 

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Engineering, Finance, IT, Business Administration or Management.  

Competencies: 

• Advanced Excel (plus) 


• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) 


• Ability to discuss and collaborate with different teams, such as IT, Finance, and HR 

Behaviors: 

• Good interpersonal and communication skills  


• Problem-solving skills 


• Motivation and willingness to learn 

About the pay 

Equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 940 - € 1,040 per month in Portugal
